We humans are an imperfect bunch and even the brightest are prone to doing the stupidest of things. Among us are some truly brilliant, wonderful people, but unfortunately there are also many very nasty pieces of work out there too. Whilst this has nothing to do with nationality, race or religion, nature and nurture undoubtedly play a role in how we all turn out. We need informed debate about this to help shape our understanding of these issues.
