"Save the shoes!" and other true stories

Here is a classic short video from the amazing TED channel. A volunteer firefigther recounts a story that both captivates and ends with a useful message. We want MORE true stories, relevant to security and safety, not just in video but mainly in writing. Everyone must have at least one, that can either move, enthrall or entertain others, and we and others would love to hear from you budding, truthful writers, with your 200 to 2,000 word stories. If published you will be fully acknowledged, by your name and links, or anonymously if you so request. Please email (the address here has been changed to evade robots, but you can work it out) secheckuk [at] gmail.com, if you wish to submit anything.
