The above video, 'China, How it is - Money, real and fake', was uploaded by serpentza in 2012. Although dated, the presenter recounts some useful insights, such as trying to give taxi drivers almost eaxt money, so as to limit the chance of later finding fake money in your change.

Many of the same coin and note designs of the fifth series, of the renminbi in 2012 are still in circulation at the date of this post. Most notes were and are in their second edition of design, but in the fight against counterfeiting, there is now a 3rd edition 100 yuan note (yuan and renimibi [RMB] effectively mean the same thing in this context).
