Any business that is exposed as a result of staff needing to maintain strong password security are advised to sit their staff down in-front of this.

There are, as you can imagine, dozens of similar videos online, although this is one of the best. Among numerous other resources dedicated to cyber-security, this site recommends www.getsafeonline.org, the national UK support site, documented elsewhere on these pages..
Having been involved with various security technology previously and by then, aware of the work of Winn Schwartau (see earlier post) about ten years ago, with the support of a business sponsor, we commissioned London Patent Attorneys, Beck Greener, to look at patenting what we thought would be a useful secure password aid. Their searches for 'prior art' revealed that a lot of work had been done in this space, but there were still numerous 'inventive steps' to our concept We let the application lapse however, because we were convinced the days of the password were numbered. It seemed that within five years we would be beyond passwords and by now be using advanced biometrics requiring multiple authenticators (iris patterns, fingerprints, voice and face patterns, and so on - how we were wrong!) Instead we are now more reliant upon passwords than ever. There remain aspects of the 'invention' we were working on that are to this day unique and, luckily, protecting the intellectual property of these elements requires no more than basic copyright. In the months ahead a section of this site may therefore be devoted to a novel password concept that some may find useful.
